What is a Chamber of Commerce?
- A voluntary association of business people working to actively improve the economic and civic vitality of our community
- A group whose strength lies in the number and diversity of its membership which includes both large and small businesses from every profession
- An organization financed by members' investments
- The only organization that devotes all its energies to representing the businesses in our area and improving the business climate
- An organization independent of all other organizations and groups
- The voice of the business community
The members ARE the Chamber. The Chamber can accomplish collectively what no one business could do alone.
What Happens After You Join the Chamber?
Several steps are initiated to welcome and involve you in the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce.
- You will receive a letter of welcome and gift from President Pam Christie expressing our appreciation for your support.
- You will receive a membership plaque to be displayed in your business to encourage other Chamber members to support you.
- You will receive invitations to Business After and Before Hours events where you will have an opportunity to introduce yourself to the membership network with other chamber professionals.
- You will be listed as a new member in an upcoming Chamber Newsletter distributed by the Harrison Daily Times.
- You will be listed on the chamber website and a link will be added to your website as a membership benefit.
- You will be added to the Relocation Guide and Business Directory published each year.
- You will be added to the mailing and fax list to receive updates of Chamber volunteer activities and sponsorship opportunities.
- You will join with over 560 current Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce members representing our business community.
- You will receive new member advertising for your business with a total value of approximately $1,200.
